This paper tries to re-examine and re-comprehend Mo Yan's novel based on Bakhtin's theory of carnivalization. The carnivalization phenomena in Mo Yan's novel are not only the manifestation of writer's idea change during the epoch changing period, but also the express of probing the possibility for new narrative art development which coordinates with his changing ideology. By absorbing artistic inspiration from literary tradition of carnivalization home and abroad and carrying out bold probe and experiment. With the polyphonic narrative structure, the coronation and de-coronation narrative mode, and the heteroglossia narrative language, Mo Yan builds his own unique space for the carnivalization novel. The characters in Mo Yan's novels are always such kind of people that they are abnormal and live separating with the normal social life. With such mode of thinking of madness or infatuation or tactlessness or insanity, those characters behave eccentric and unreasonably, think illogically. Through those characters'vision and act, Mo Yan powerfully reveals the side of the world that unknown but exists realy. Those abnormal marginal characters bear the same function and construction with other characters, such as clown, fool and liar, in carnivalization festival discussed by Bakhtin. The carnivalization trait in Mo Yan's novel creation presents vivid social and age elements, which has close connection with direction changing in novel creation since the coming of new period. At the same time, the unique writing of Mo Yan pours new element into china's new period novel creation, which has positive significance on the development of Chinese literature since the coming of new period. But what should be alerted is the negative element it brings.
