| The research object of this thesis is Qiuci Dance, which emerged at the early Xihan Dynasty, developed and matured in the Wei, Jin, and Southern and Northern Dynasties, flourished in the Tang Dynasty and was on the wane between Song and Yuan Dynasties. On the basis of senior scholars' research and the existing research findings, according to the literature information and Qiuci grotto dancing frescos, along with the field survey records of Xinjiang Uighur and other peoples' traditional dances by the author, using the research methods of the saltatory art, history, archeology and cultural anthropology, this thesis tries to discuss the cause and effect of the ancient Qiuci Dance lengthways, analyse the performing patterns, modality characteristics and influences of the ancient Qiuci Dance broadways. Consequently, drawing out the original outline of the ancient Qiuci Dance and bringing people a compositive understanding of this age-old and mysterious classical ethical art. Besides, on the basis of theoretical research, arranging Qiuci Dance with both modern taste consciousness and folk styles is of further meaning.This thesis consists of three parts: the Introduction Part, four chapters and the Epilogue. The Introduction Part is meant to summarize the research objective, meaning, research information and methodology of this thesis, introducing some research findings related to this theme. Chapter 1 is going to analyse the formness of Qiuci Dance from the two aspects: internal factors (the unique geographical enviroment of Qiuci, flourishing politics and economy, complicated ethnic groups and races) and external factors (the influences of India, Greece and China culture), educing the conclusion that Qiuci Dance is a multiple and complex dancing culture. Combied with the research findings of senior scholars, Qiuci grotto dancing frescos, the literature information and the field survey of Xinjiang Uighur and other peoples' traditional dances by the author, Chapter 2 is meant to introduce these dancing patterns of "Huxuan Dance, Huteng Dance, Zhezhi Dance, Pohanhu Drama, Lion Dance, Propery Dance", which emerged and prevailed in the ancient Qiuci Kingdom, and analyse the artistic character of of them respectively. |
