Music people, especially those who were in the lower class, made a living mainly by the way of creating, playing, and singing music. In this way they obtained the other needs in their life. They were a special social group living in lower class in the history of Chinese feudal society. They were the main participator and practices of feudal music system; they were also the main creator and successor of the various forms of music in Chinese history; they are the main part in the various ceremonies of folk culture and grass---root society. However, we should be aware that the attention paid to the composer at present is far not enough. The only achievement of the research mainly focuses on the social research of music households in Shan Xi province in terms of music culture.Based on the shortcomings mentioned, the Qu Fu Confucius Trumpet households were chosen as the research subject in this article. The article is introduced from the practical research of the descendant of Qu Fu Confucius Trumpet households, and from the ankles of literature, sociology, and folklore. Meanwhile, it also fully explores the arrangement, duties, social status, economic conditions, family education, inheriting of the skills, historical changes and present jobs of the Trumpet people. It tries to provide a typical case for the research of music people and group.Seen from the methods, historical literature analysis and field trip operation are the main methods of the research in the article. The Confucius Trumpet households surveyed not only have a long developing history, but also are being succeeded in the life; therefore, the research of this article has the dimension of history and reality. Based on the field trip and combined with literature information, this article is made every effort to present an enriching and completing research achievement to people.
