Ji Yun was a great bibliographer in Chiarnlurng and Jiaqing Age. His academic achievement display on the Catalogue of Imperial Collection of Four and the Concise Catalogue of Imperial Collection of Four. As known ,the Catalogue of Imperial Collection of Four was not created by only one person, so take it as the standard to measure his academic contribution was argued since then and it's hard to say the right or wrong. If we take the Catalogue of Imperial Collection of Four to measure his contribution ,we should also pay attention to his individual work: the Left Work of Ji Wenda Duke. The documentation in the work plays the irreplaceable role to know Ji Yun's contribution on academic and bibliography. At present ,we did not pay enough attention to the bibliography value on this book, so it is necessary to do further research in the bibliography view, as to know his achievement comprehensively , and this is also important to know the academic of Chiarnlurng Age. So this thesis contains the following parts besides the foreword and the conclusion.The first part is to narrate concisely Ji Yun's whole life according to this book and his chronicle and other books.The second part is to observe and study some of Ji Yun's works.The third part is to inspect the left work's value to the Imperial Collection of Four. The book kept a large number of materials of editing the Imperial Collection of Fou. We can discuss on all aspects of editing Imperial Collection of Fou to make use of the materials.The fourth part is to observe the left work's value on bibliography.The fifth part is to discover the biographies of Qing Dynasty in the book.
