Generally speaking, this dissertation is built by three main aspects.First, the objects of worship get a very clear-cut territoriality and which is related to the concept of "people and spirits should live within their own sphere" from the locals strongly.Secondly, as the expanding of the space, there is a continuity meaning between the hall of an earth house and the ancestral hall of the earth buildings village. The position of the hall in an earth house is located in the core and so similarly does the ancestral hall to the earth buildings. It reveals the cohesion of the family and the clan. The cohesion contains the relations which among family to clan, the lives to death, and the present to the past. However, this kind of relations can be also dug out during those important festal ceremonies clearly. In a short, the continuity meaning shows the mutualism between the living space and the cultural insights of the ceremonies.Thirdly, there are more and more small modern buildings which made of concrete surround the original earth buildings since 1980. Ecologically speaking from the culture aspect, comparing with the original scheme of the village, it seems a new pattern of these buildings are formed, and which means the halls are duplicated and the density around the ancestral hall is higher; whereas, the deeper I go the clear I get, the clan spirits of Hakka is actually stable and consistency no matter how complicated the associations become.Comparing the original cultural environment of the Earth Buildings, the new form of the halls expanding and the cohesion of the clan established a positive inspiration to the connections between the constructive space and festal ceremonies. However, the most important concern is about the succession of the clan spirits of Hakka, especially when we deal with the conservation and development of the Earth Buildings. For the bottom line of the heritage conservation spirits is to protect the continuation and unique of the cultural recognize collectively. That is to say, the essence of the cultural environment to the Hakka's earth buildings in Yongding County is the year to year steady of the clan spirits of Hakka.
