As one of the core concept of West art theory Romanticism entered into China, while the May 4th new culture Movement spread West Culture aboard as a whole in the beginning of the 20^th Century. From the first understanding on external form to the further discussion on inner spirit of West Romanticism, from the translation and introduction of literary works to all-sided access and analysis on West Romanticism by Academic circles, from critical term to methodology in creating sense, West Romanticism underwent a process collided and combined with Chinese modern culture. West Romanticism is a historic concept comprised of many senses. From three aspects, namely aesthetics sense, genre sense and concrete creating method, the article will adopt discourse analysis and image reading methods in order to review Romanticism among Chinese modern fine art on the textual research sense. The article affirms West Romanticism effect profoundly the development of the Chinese modern fine art, and focuses on the capability and process of Chinese Fine Art circle that absorb and rebuild West text and creating new text.
