Dali Art "root" And "antennae"

As the greatest super realism artist, Dali is one imaginative painter with preeminent talent, so his arts have great influence on modern and contemporary art. His paintings include classicality and modern times, hometown and foreign areas, art and science, no other painters are so miraculous like him and no other paintings are so mysterious. His weird behaviors attract people's attentions and arguments. As to Dali phenomenon, people have many wonderings: why is he so famous? Dose his success attribute to his paintings or his self demonstration? As far as I am concerned, Dali is indeed an art genius, his innitiative and independent character, his conceit, his great thoughts and his good sense of creativity made his works so unique among other artists. As a graduate student majoring in Fine Arts, I am so fond of Dali's works, hence my interests of learning more about the great artist himself was being arised. Although we have seen many references and introductions about Dali and his works before, written by other scholars, but in this dissertation I attached more importance to the research of Dali and his source of ideas for art from the art creation prospective.In this article, I don't simply talk about his lifetime, art course and his paintings feature, but use two vivid comparison, that is root and tentacle, at culture and psychology levels ,and comment on his works by some texts and pictures in order to provide contemporary artist with some thinking backgrounds and widen one thinking space. Another character is that this article has rich pictures. I chose typical pictures in different chapters so as to combine the vivid visual language with logical texts.In first chapter, I use"root"as one comparison to analyze his paintings'culture character. Dali's paintings are influence by Spanish cluture and hometown circumstance. His root is rooted in national customs with four thounds years long history and his hometown. He infuses the nature and realistic life into his drawing series, keep spanish culure details and build up imaginative reality by his sepcial way.In chapter two, I show his secret heart by using the comparison of tentacle. I analyze his self-demonstration psychology, sex inhibition psychology, fearing psychology and loyal religious psychology so that this article comes to some height from culture background to psychology.In Chapter three, I sumed up Dali's great contribution to the super-realism painting style and his profound influence on world's art by introducing"paranoia criticize"to the creation of the art, which makes the disorded and complicated idolums more systematism. His super-realism painting style made him a pioneer among his peers and his exploration of other art fields also greatly enriched the style of art creation.Knowing about the culture background where Dali lives and his psychological influence is helpful to know about him, know about his change course as a famous artist and know about some unsolved issues that so many artists are facing. Through the research, I came to a conclusion that when an artist is creating his paintings, he is also creating himself and his life. When he is easy to get the rich life, when the artist isn't different with average man, when everyone who wants to be a great man turns desperate, we should divert to something most precious in the deepest heart, that is, make heart the essence of the art and look for inspiration from the excellent traditional culture.
