《Chuang-Tzu》which is the classical document in the Chinese culturehave a profound effect on many fields. But the most scholars simply treatit as a philosophical text and completely lose sight of its psychologicalsignificance. The purpose of this study is to apply concepts and theoriesof psychoanalysis to understand《Chuang-Tzu》and find psychologicalresources and ideas embodied in the text. This study treat《Chuang-Tzu·The Inner Chapters》as the subject. wehold the basic opinion that the central focus of《Chuang-Tzu·The InnerChapters》is individualization. In other words, the central focus of《Chuang-Tzu·The Inner Chapters》is how to realize one's "true self"through psychological development. This paper is divided into six chapters. It expatiates on theindividualization theory of Chuang-Tzu systematically from goal, methodand process. In the first chapter, I present literature summarization andmeaning of the research. In the second chapter, I expatiate on theindividualization theory of analytical psychology from definition, process and principium to form the hermeneutic frame. In the third chapter,I parse the individualization definition of "Tao" and "A HAPPYEXCURSION", which are the core ideas of Chuang-Tzu. In the fourth chapter,I study the mechanism and principium about how the individualization takesplace and be realized. Through the thorough research on The Inner Chapters,I find there are five pieces of principium to come to individualization:the creativity of cultivating circumstance, spontaneousness,"beyond-mind", symbolic transformation and the transformation ofself-knowledge.In the fifth chapter, we expatiate on the concrete method and strategyof individualization which is the realization of principium summarizedabove. We find that a variety of methods are used to realize individualization. These methods could be divided into two categories. The former is narrative methods which are composed of life style of "non-action" "non-application" "non-knowledge" and "non-desire", "illumination" and "tranquillity" of heart, the way of cultivatinglife, the art of "clearing the heart" and "forgetting excesses". Thelatter is symbolic methods which are composed of the transformation ofmyth and monster, the speech style of paradox and relativity. In the lastchapter, we find that《Chuang-Tzu·The Inner Chapters》systematically usecolorful symbolic images to depict a Chinese road of individualization. From "A Happy Excursion" to "Responding to the Emperor", a distinguishingChinese individualization is successfully emerged and is characterizedby "the way of cultivating life" and "the unity of Human-Heaven"...
