Afte the New Culture Movement, any Chinese Artists could not shun the impact of western art. And many of the advanced intellectuals had advocated the introduction of western painting to the reform of Chinese painting, therefore, landscape painting, which ranked first in the tranditional Chinese painting, took the lead to accept the baptism of the reform.Faced with the impact of western art, different artists took different approaches. Incorporate artists such as Lin Fengmian, Li Keran, positively accepted the impact of western painting which they integrated with tranditional Chinese landscape painting and created many works different in manifestation from the tranditional paintings. These works enriched the expression form and entrusted with the ancient Chinese landscape painting by new appearance thus bearing a strong mark of the times. While the tranditional artists represented by Huang Binhong and Zhang Daqian, explioted the modern factors of the traditional painting and made creatively development by basing on trandition and referring to the western art, facilitating the change of the classical landscape painting to a modern form with aesthetic value of the times. With the increasing globalisation of the world today, we dare to take advantage of the culture of other nations and create more, and the development of Chinese painting is not to "hold onto the bottom line," but to make creative style transformation. We will never make progress if we keep being conservative. But on the other hand, reference is not equivalent to fully acceptance. Based on the profound study of the trandition and understanding of the current status, we must set foot on the culture of our own nation and refer to and integrate with culture of other nations creatively so as to stimulate the enthusiasm in the creation of tranditional Chinese painting.
