This paper first analyses the formation of the odd style of figure painting in the late Ming Dynasty when Wu Bin lived and points out the influence of this style on the religious figure painting in that social setting. Then by illustrating Wu Bin's peculiar style with the analysis of his religious belief and his different religious figure paintings, it provides a better understanding of Wu Bin's status in the art circle of the late Ming Dynasty.
