And then indicates of individual differences about self-regulatory were collected by way of experiment and questionnaire ( baseline Vagal Tone, Sence of Coherence and resilience for Senior Three students; baseline Vagal Tone, Vagal Regression and Vagal Recovery for freshmen). The prediction of individual indictes for the relationship between daily-stress and coping strategies were analized with HLM. The main results of the study are as follows:1. The daily-stress that both Senior Three students and freshmen experienced during a week took on a periodic change, and they experienced lower-intensity stress at weekends than on weekdays. On the whole, they used more active problem-solving coping strategies.2. For both Senior Three students and freshmen The relationship between daily-stress and coping strategies were mainly meditiated by negative emotional arousal. The higher intensity the daily-stress was, the more negative emotional arousal there was, the more coping strategies.3. For Senior Three students, under the conditions of moderate to high daily-stress, baseline vagal tone weakened the positive relationship between negative emotional arousal and active problem-solving coping strategie, and that of negative emotional arousal and emotional venting strategies; Sence of Coherence weakened the positive relationship between negative emotional arousal and rationalized coping strategies.4. For freshmen, under the conditions of moderate to high daily-stress, vagal recovery weakened the positive relationship between negative emotional arousal and support-seeking coping strategies. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | daily-stress, negative emotional arousal, coping strategies, vagal tone, Sence of Coherence, resilience | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
