In the development of China's ancient history, Shen Mo novels are more characteristic in so many novels. And in the Ming Dynasty Shen Mo novels both in quantity and in quality, that can be compared with Historical novels. Shen Mo novels ever was known as the "Two major trends of Ming Dynasty novels" with the World's situation novels in the Lu Xun's book named "China's historical changes". And he also spent a lot of ink to discuss in the book of "A Brief of History of Chinese Fiction". But it is regrettable that the research is not enough in this regard for a long time obviously. And the research of the reasons about the Shen Mo novels' prosperity in the late Ming Dynasty is much less.On the basis of the previous research results, this paper further discussion again. So we can in-depth understanding of the Shen Mo novels' reasons for the rapid rise. Mainly in the following areas: Myth that has always been seen as the source of fiction, in the same is the source of the Shen Mo novels; Song and Yuan Dynasty Then this had played a more direct role in the Shen Mo novels' produce and rise. It promoted the development of Shen Mo novels directly; The immortal drama of the Yuan and Ming Dynasty affected the Shen Mo novels deeply from the topics and forms; Romantic ideas in the late Ming Dynasty emancipated people's minds, and it provided a basis for thinking as creators and readers to choice the Shen Mo novels; Liberal political environment and the rulers' vigorously promotion for the religious promoted the rise of the Shen Mo novels directly; Economic prosperity and development especially the development of the publishing industry offered the material basis for the Shen Mo novels. It made the novels become a historical novel which can compared with the Historical novels in the late Ming Dynasty.
