England in the Middle Ages is an agricultural country, the Midlands region of England, as a major agricultural area throughout England on the development of agriculture, is of important significance. From medieval to modern times, there is a long history of Midlands' agricultural economy. What changes happened to it and what these changes affected England, they are mainly concerned in this thesis. The present thesis includes four chapters: Chapter 1, introduces the Midland Economic Area and the geographical scope of the natural conditions; Chapter 2, written from the 11th century to the 13th century, during this period, the Midlands is a typical agricultural economic zone in the Middle Ages. This thesis mainly introduces its system of land, agricultural production, farmers and the identity of the rise of the city and its functions to the secret Mother economic outlook of the agricultural areas with a basic understanding; Chapter 3, from the 14th century to 15th century writing, this is a period of Midlands agricultural economy passing the differentiation. At this stage, the economic decline of the manor system, and many villages have been abandoned, there have been a small-scale enclosure, animal husbandry has been development of the farming is relatively narrow; Chapter 4,from the 16th century to the 17th century, Midlands has taken place in the economic transformation of farming and animal husbandry combined with the emergence of large-scale enclosure movement, the riots caused farmers; rural industrial development, agriculture capitalism increase; and the surrounding area of economic ties strengthened. England's economy has gradually dispersed towards integration; a unified domestic market for the rise of the Industrial Revolution in England laid the foundation.
