| Caoyu,the Chinese Shakespeare,with his unique charming artistic way,deep rational thinking and warm compassion feeling,had created four giant representative works-Thunderstorm,Sunrise,Fields and Peking Man.These four works,which has achieved indubitable culture value and classic status in the century historical process of the drama literary,continually paid tribute to and figured out by the following generations.Throughout these four representative works,there are full of image and poetry,and shining artistic brilliance of modern drama accumulated from the aesthetic image of Chinese traditional aesthetics.In this paper,the theme of "Image and Dramatic Art" is placed in the overall background of Chinese history and culture,and it discusses the contents from the source and changes of the image-form to the connotation and purpose of the image-meaning,and then to the aesthetic gestalt of the mingle of the image-meaning and image-form in the drama field.Based on the definition and illustration of the nature contents in the aesthetic exchange in literary creation and theatrical performances,and the analysis of concrete or abstract image in the Thunderstorm,Sunrise,Fields,Peking Man,this paper focuses on researching the position,role and value of the image in the system of dramatic.There are two aspects to explore-the poetic intervention of image to the drama realm,theme,language,and the functional performance of image to the basic elements such as the drama characters,conflict and stage effect.It is not only discussed in detail the soul-style characteristics of image on the facets of felt form and deep meaning of Cao Yu's dramatic art,but also analyzing effectively the relationship between the image creation and Cao Yu's dramatic art.The author holds a study view of starting from the small,focusing on the majors,to correctly grasp the objective aesthetic of creation and acceptance of dramatic arts,and to experience deeply the subjective emotions of the playwright's caring life. |
