From "lying Shields" Text To See The Role Of Contemporary Imam

As the elite, Akhund is not only the inheritor and disseminator of Islam, but also the elucidator and defender of Sharia and Islam religious doctrine. "Expostulation" is the very important way for Akhund to propagandize for Islamism. The "Expostulation" texts represent the approaches and contents of the Akhund's missionary work. Based on reading 157 "Expostulation" texts, I analyze the contents and characteristics of the texts to explain the role of the contemporary Akhund in two dimensions, including the relationship between Church and State and the vicissitude of Muslim community.The article is divided into four parts:The first part is the foreword. In this part, I summarize the significance of paper's topic, research tendency as well as the research technique.The second part interprets the "Expostulation" from two angles, the semantics and the religious study, then explains significance of researching and the desired purpose of this article.In the third part, I analyze the contents and characteristics of "Expostulation".The fourth part is epilogue which discusses role of the Akhund in relationship between Church and State, how the Muslim community vicissitude brought the challenges as well as the Akhund how to deal with them, then analyzes the future direction of the Akhund and the Chinese Islamism on the background of modernization.
