Dostoevsky is one of the famous Russian writers of nineteen century. He has great effect to the world literature, which is more than nineteen century. Nowadays he still has a mount of the research works out. The researchers not only concern his complex and profound thoughts, and pay more attention to that the thought is presented by what kind of unique artistic form. Therefore, the intermediary of the novel and the writer, the narrator is particularly worth studying.The unique characteristics of the narrators in the novels written by Dostoevsky have close relationship with his important thoughts. The author's consciousness and the consciousness of the characters is parallel in his novel. Between various thoughts, there is really dialogue, not to be others'objective. The narrator not only shows the voice of the writer, but also shows the thoughts of the characters which are equal with the writers'.There are different narrators in Dostoevsky's novels and I will divide the narrators of Dostoevsky into two kinds: narrator as a character, narrator isn't a character. With polyphonic theory, theories of narrative and concrete works, I will discuss several problems including the characteristics of the narrator; how to narrate the story; how to show the thoughts of the characters and how to show the thoughts of the writer.
