Living Buddha Pass Its Cultural Function

religious story is important and indispensable to all religious belief, with the spread of which it will continue to produce new religious story , while religious story will also promot development and prosperity of religious belief. Living Buddha's story is the main part of HuangJiao story. Obugahan Buddha is an legendary people and quite popular with the local people. Legendary story about Obugahan Buddha not only showing his supernature powerbut also have an impact on the function of promoting people faithing in the HuangJiao and traditional culture.The legendary story is precious and it carrys the local culture of the Mongolian national psychologically and ideologically. In the dissertation ,I study the legendary story of Obugahan Buddha , other Living Buddhas and analyze the motif issue .At the same time I explores the function of the traditional culture psychology, education and social memory about living Buddha s' legendary story. Then , I Also state the divine power of the Living Buddha's personality and the process of the development of their religious authority.This dissertation contains three parts of introduction, the main part , and the appendix.The introduction part submit the meaning of choosing this subject,the current studing situation , the process of practical study , study methods and the purpose of studying it. In the first part, I state the origin of Obugahan Buddha and other buddhas, and give a general classification to the motif of Living buddhas'Legend. In the second part, I make efforts to analyze the cultural values, cultural psychology and ideology of legendary story about Obugahan Buddha. In the third part, I analyze the divine power of the Living Buddha's personality, their religious authority and the decline of religious authority in the period of socialism.
