"KuangYi"was narrated by Nicolas Trig Ault, taked down by Chinese follower ZhangGeng. It was the first album which translation introduce specialized collection of Aesop's Fables. In the end of Ming dynasty, many Catholic missonaries came to Chinese, Jesuit was one of them. After Matteo Ricci's costant explaration, they chosed to ally Confucian and reject Buddhism. On the basis of understangding of Chinese culture and custom, Jesuit adopted to use knowledge to spread Christian. They writed and published many books. They used Christian concept to explain Confucian concept for spreading Christian. The book named KuangYi was the result of their tactics. My research of KuangYi in the thesis is on the background of Jesuit's knowledge tactic. I attempt to compare Chinese and western tests of Aesop's Fables, and anlyse Confucian and Christian concept in KuangYi. After that alysis, I want to find the characteristic of KuangYi ."KuangYi"was not only a famous book at that time, but also one comparative literature research methods which was different of"Ge Yi". This characteristic which used Christian concept to explain Confucian concept was also the characteristic of East-West culture exchange at that time. The research method in my thesis is the relationship between comparative literature and cultural studies. I try to compare a variety of translations and analyse the characteristic of Nicolas Trig Ault how to attempt ally, add and overtake Confucian..There are three parts in my thesis:First, the overview of KuangYi ,including background time , author, content and Nicolas Trig Ault's adaption of Aesop's Fables. Second, the analysis of Chinese text ,mainly the analysis of Confucian and Christian concept in it.Third, investigate Jesuit how to attempt ally, add and overtake Confucian. I try to innovate in the aspects of analysis of text and characteristics of KuangYi with the help of predecessors'researches.
