Personality Traits And Emotional State Of Autobiographical Memory Experimental Study

As a mixed memory of individual's complex life, Autobiographical memory has fundamental significance to self, emotion and personal experience. Autobiographical memory has been attached importance to by psychologists, because it has close relation with some psychological phenomena such as self and emotion. The discussion to autobiographical memory greatly expanding the study of human memory, at the same time let people have deeper understanding to human memory and even human spiritual world. Therefore, we attempt combining personality and emotion by experimental task of autobiographical memory in this study, then focusing on how personality and emotion impact individual's processing of emotional information. We hope to expand the study of the relation of emotion and cognition, and make the related theory of autobiographical memory more perfect, and provide some results which have application value to education.In this study, we classify the subjects' personality at first, then we designed two experiments on the basis of classification. The results of the experiments as follows:1.Trait-congruent effects exists in autobiographical memory, the outgoing tend to be more specific clues to memory with a positive word-related incidents, while the inward and the high neuroticism tend to be more specific clues to memory with a negative word;2.The effects of emotion to positive and negative word-related autobiographical memory have obvious differences;3.The interaction of personality and emotion to positive word-related and negative word-related autobiographical memory has obvious difference;4.The interaction of extraversion and emotion to positive word-related and negative word-related autobiographical memory has obvious differences, while the interaction of neuroticism and emotion has not obvious difference;5.The interaction of extraversion,neuroticism and emotion to positive word-related autobiographical memory has obvious difference.
