| In the field of ancient Chinese ceramics, decoration is an interesting area, whose artistic expression, technology, style and form boast a unique charm. Ceramic decoration has been subjected to the influence of other arts and crafts. Chinese painting, with similar tools to that of the ceramic paintings, has great impact on the latter. During late Qing Dynasty, with emergence of the "Qianjiang color" and popularity of porcelain painting, the decoration attached to the device changed the traditional type of aesthetic features, the minor becomes major, porcelain crafts porcelain gradually shift to Art porcelain. In recent years, some scholars proposed to name those paintings on ceramics influenced by Chinese painting "ceramic painting". From the "ceramic painting" perspective, this paper explores and discusses the art of porcelain painting by Wang Qi as a whole.Portraits on porcelain painted by Wangi are representative of porcelain paintings at that time. Based on a discussion of porcelain portraits, this paper sifts and studies the figures by Wangi in a relatively comprehensive way, and explores the characteristics and cultural connotations of his porcelain paintings. |
