Affective factors play a key role in the process of English learning. With the rise of web-based education, the web-based English education has also got a development. However,problems propped up in the process of learning English online. What is the emotional situation in English e-learning?What are the problems there?What is the feature of affective factors in English e-learning process? What countermeasures can be put forward to promote students'learning effectiveness? The deliberation of the above issues is the foundation of the paper.The paper adopts literature method for a review of studies on affective factors in e-learning and of studies on affective factors in foreign language learning. During the process of survey, the writer joined in the class for an observation on both teachers and students'performance .Interviews on students are made at proper time and their feelings are recorded. According to the records, the paper adopts a qualitative method to analyze students'emotional situation, and intends to find reasons leading to affective deficiency.In order to make an in-depth analysis for the influences of effective factors in English e-learning, the paper carries on an analysis on the main affective factors, and makes an analyze on the relation of affective factors and affective deficiency. In the final part, I try to put forward countermeasures from teachers'level.Through exploring effective factors under an English e-learning circumstance, the paper tries to analyze the effective factors. By understanding how affective factors affecting English e-learning, this paper puts forward some countermeasures in hope of promoting students'learning effectiveness. At the same time, this preliminary study attempts to provide some help and reference for web-based English teaching practice.
