Tang Dynasty Piano On Guqin Aesthetic Development

The Guqin aesthetics began to sprout from the pre-Qin period. The aesthetics experienced rapid development of the Tang and Song to the Ming and Qing dynasties, when formed a complete system, and declined in the end. Thoughout the whole lifespan of the art, Guiqin aesthetics of Tang Dynasty are distinct from any other periods.This paper includes comparasion with Guqing easthetucs in Tang Dynasity and other periods in each following aspects:functional theory, aesthetic theory, performance theory, and several other perspective of the ancient Guqin aesthetics. The main view points are as below:1. Before Tang Dynasty, Guqin research was considered as functional theory rather than aesthtic.2. Guqing aesthetics began to sprout in Tang Dynasty, when the content of aethetics greatly enriched with lyrics and opern, acorrding to the large amount of left over。3. Performance theory of writing came out during Tang Dynasty, which led the growth of future generations.4. The importnace of the invention, word spectrum, which both keep the skill and technique pithy, while the expression was still accurate. The invetion also provided the skill and technique an essential semeiology system, which made it possible to accumulate generally.5. Carving and superbing technique provided a body for performance theory and aesthitics, which also expand future space for development of the qin art.The argurements above come to a conclusion:The decline of functional theory and the rise of performance theory and aesthitics pushed guqin aesthitics of Tang dynaty won a dominated position in the development of antient qin theory. Guqin aesthitics had transformed to a musical instrument in Tang Dynasy. As an instrumental class of art, guqin has not only preserved the unique cultural connotation and spiritual character, but also made brilliant achievements in art fields.
