| The present dissertation places great emphasis on the tributary policy on Zhang Xueyan who is the Xunfu of Liaodong in the Longqing and Wanli period.This article first sets forth the life story of Zhang Xueyan and the situation in Liaodong between Jiajing and Longqing period. Then it discusses the reason of the management in Liaodong of Zhang Xueyan. On the basis of this analysis, the article discusses the reformation of Zhang Xueyan in Liaodong from four aspects including frontier policies, military expenditures, the policies to Jurchen, the policies to Mongolian.One of the purposes of the reformation in Longqing and Wanli period is economic prosperity and powerful military of Ming dynasty. The text systematically introduces the effects of political and economic activities of Zhang Xueyan in Liaodong. He took the military expenditures problem as the key to grasp the essence in Liaodong to relieve financial crisis. It also discusses the reformation in Longqing and Wanli period of Zhang Xueyan in economic prosperity and powerful military in Liaodong.The other purpose of the reformation in Longqing and Wanli period is the border diazepam and political stability. This article discusses the military and ethnic activities of Zhang Xueyan in Liaodong, Longqing and early Wanli period. On one hand, he took comfort measures toward Jurchen; on the other hand, he took double-sided method included active defended and mutual trade towards the Mongolian.Concluding remarks, the text has reached a conclusion about the effect of Zhang Xueyan's reformation in Longqing and Wanli period. |
