Practice view is the first, basic point of view in Marxist theory. Marx criticized the whole previous philosophy on the basis of scientific practice view, and created the dialectical materialism, the historical materialism which is a unity of materialism and dialectics, a unity of materialist view of nature and history. However, there are different interpretations and ideas on Marxs practice view. In this thesis, we inspect the main practice views on the history of philosophy, and have a preliminary study of Marxs practice view accord to the Marxs classic elaborations.Part One investigates the practice views of philosophers who are previous to Marx. Previous to the Marxist philosophy, the practice was just understood as initiative consciousness activities, or simply understood as the material activities which don't contain the purpose. And they could not unify the practice's initiative and materiality according to its inherent relationship. Therefore, their practice view is narrow, superficial and one-sided. And Marx discovered the important role of material production in human history, it was understood the most basic practice, it not only contains initiative, but also contains materiality. Marx precisely thought the material production as the foundation of all human practice, therefore he could unify the two opposing nature and then establish the scientific practice view.Part Two describes four basic aspects of the Marx's practice view. First of all, Marx criticized practice views of the old materialism and idealism, and he thought that practice is the objective, perceptual activity which is human-specific. Secondly, practice is general and it bases on material production practice and includes material production practice, production practice of human, spiritual production practice, social production practice. Thirdly, the practice is the sole criterion for truth. Fourth, the practice is the basis of the division of the people and the world. It's just the practice divide the material world to the subjective world and objective world, free world and the human world, but also the basis of their unity. Fifth, the practice is the essence of social life. Marx understood human history departure from the practice, revealing the nature of the human history, and also formulated practice as a social, historical concept.Part Three focuses on the practical significance of Marx's practice view, and considers that it possesses important theory significance and real guiding value to sum up, comb, study Marxs scientific practice view. It helps us to understand the essential features of Marxist philosophy, to have a reasonable understanding of the scientific concept of development, to construct the harmonious society of socialism to correctly grasp and solve the contemporary plight of development.
