A Study On The Construction And Operation Model Of The Old - Age Service System For The Urban Community In China

Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy has developed rapidly and achieved remarkable growth. At the same time, the medical technology in our country also makes rapid progress, so the health conditions of people are improved greatly, which promotes the population aging process. Owing to that, the government pays more attention on this pension issue. In our country, the traditional support culture is deep and long, and family supporting is always the main endowment pension inherited by our society. However, with the rapid growth of our economy and society, the structure of families also changed a lot. The function of aging care in each family is weakened, and gradually emerges the tendency of miniaturization and core family structure. In addition, social institutions for old-age care have a lot of problems, such as the high input cost, high consumption level, insufficient pension service facilities, short of experienced and professional talents, etc. Under such circumstance, the government has put forward to set up a system of elderly care service with Chinese characteristics. This system is based on the community, and regards family as the carrier, which has great practical significance for adapting to the community home endowment service system needed by our country.This passage first briefly introduced the studies of China’s current urban community endowment service system construction, the present operation pattern of this system and also its significance.And then I studied the related construction of urban community endowment system in our country, and illustrated the background and significance of its operation pattern. For some concepts involved in this study, I have given them specific definition. Except for these, I also reviewed and concluded the related research at home and abroad, and stated out the research method and basic framework of this research problem. Next is the illustration of the theoretical basis of domestic old-age service system. Based on the advanced experience of foreign countries in this aspects, I tentatively proposed the way to improve our domestic urban community home endowment service system construction, and then to find out the suggestions and strategies which are more suitable for the current situation of domestic home endowment service operation pattern.
