AbstructThe long time confrontation of the Cold War and the long lasting armament race add heavy economic burden, and therefore serious obstruction to the worldwide economy development and the people's living standards improvement. No matter it is big or small, strong or weak, no country can benefit from such unwise cOnfrontation. The economic globalization, as an irreversible trend, gives rise to the more eleborate international division of labor, faster development of international trade, larger scale of international capital floating, closer international relationships and fiercer international compitition. Like a double-Waded sword, it not only stimulates the speady development of world economy, but simultaniously brings enormous ecomomic and political risks as well...Since the reform and open to~ the world?policy was performed, China has been merged into such a trend of globalization.How to encounter with the opportunity and challenge of globalization? The author regards being aware of the opportunity and seizing the opportumty are necessary. Meantime, to hold an active attitude towards the international intercourse is also of great important In the essay, the author suggests an active economic coordination, which emphasizes the economic association with the developed countries, and which doesnot neglect the association with the developing countries. It is also suggested to strengthen the international trade, determine a rationablc open sequence, and define a suitable customs duty systerm and non-customs duty measures. It is suggested in the essay as well that economic structure should be adjusted and evoluted, in addition that the competitive capability of Chinese enterprises should be strengthened. A suggestion of fully using the experience of other countries for reference to avoid economic risks is then finally advocated.
