Complex Network Of Economic And Social System Modeling Approach To Study

This study is a study of the social and economic systems on the complex networks. Many systems including the nature and social systems can be modeled as networks in different scales and topological structure. So, the properties and models of the networks must be taken into consideration when we study these systems. The social and economic systems are also found in certain of particular topological structures. The recent advances on the graph theory and the complex networks make it possible to re-investigate the social and economic systems. The small-world networks and scale-free networks are also found in social and economic systems. The traditional study ways pay little concerns to these properties, so this study is trying to propose a new direction to study the social and economic systems systematically, in short, modeling these systems on the complex networks, especially the small-world networks and scale-free networks, trying to study the ways to model and the properties. The thesis gives a roadmap to explore this new direction. Firstly, it gives an over views of the author about the complex networks and the economic and social systems, proposes new questions and points out the key issues of this direction. Secondly, the thesis makes it clear that this study is a multiple-disciplines crossing area by viewing the social and economic systems from other existing domains such as multiple agents systems, game theory, Nonlinear Systems, also Complex Systems, system science, the science of complexity, cellar automata networks and complex networks. Then algorithms with an emphasis on the evolutionary algorithms are discussed in details. The new Ant-based algorithms are proposed and its three applications are introduced, they are applying ant-based algorithms to solve general function optimization, to solve the multiple targets optimization and proposing a brand new ant based clustering algorithms in data mining. An in-depth survey on the complex networks are given in this thesis, the small-world networks and scale-free networks are introduced, models and properties are discussed as well as the meaning in this study on the social and economic systems.
