Entering 21st centry, the development of the network is amazing. The Internet users in China has risen to nealry 130 millions and the Internet servers an important role in news services. When reading news on the Internet, users are much more concerned about the content of the news articles than who the author is. However, as a matter of fact, most news articles come from traditional media or other online sources. Meantime, it is not an ocassional case that traditional media reproduces online news without permission. In recent years, various claims have been raised with regard to the issue of news copyright. Because China has not yet enacted the press law, nor special setions or articles on the protection of news copyrights in Copyright Law—only sporadic in some of the provisions, it is not easy to have a whole pciture of those laws and regulations.
