Modern Citizen Education roots from modern Western, which is the product to the capitalist economic development and social progress. It appears accompanied by the establishment of the citizenship status. Along with the world politics and economy development, the concept of Citizen Education has been generally accepted by various countries worldwide. Meanwhile, it develops vigorously in the practice. However, looking over the citizen education of China, there's no one education content system that is explicit and scientific. Therefore, this article embarks from the construction of the theory of socialism harmonious society and unifies Marx about human's full scale development theory as well as the socialism advanced culture theory to analyze the basic content about the citizen education of China in the new time according to the request of Eight Glory Eight Shames proposed by General Secretary Hu Jintao.In view of the realistic condition of our Citizen Education, this article carries on the attempt to analyze the content of it. In the first part, it elaborates the connotation and evolution of the citizen education. The own characteristics of it are derived from the analysis. In the second part, basic basis that to establish the contents of our citizen education are pondered. The third part is this center section of this article. It contains Political Education , Social Ability Education, Moral Education on Citizen. The fourth part is a basic forecast about the Citizen Education of China in future. And a plan named Citizen School is conceived.
