Since the 1970s, the greatest achievement of mathematics is applied mathematics and the ability of using it will become one of the abilities which are necessary for people to master in daily life. Generally speaking, mathematical modeling has drawn international attention. Nowadays, it is in demand in many countries. Because there isn't sufficient basic education in applied mathematics, and the students'ability needs improving, more and more attention has been paid to mathematical modeling in recent years. According to new standard mathematics, it is required that activities should be designed for mathematical modeling teaching, and students'awareness of solving problems in practice should be raised. Let students learn about the relationship between mathematics and the other subjects to help student develop the ability of using applied mathematics. How to put the mathematical modeling into practice has become a problem to be settled immediately. Based on new standard mathematics and teaching practice, the article has presented a design for the teaching procedure, including five parts. In the first chapter, problems have been proposed. It's mainly about the background information, the method of researching, the domestic and foreign status, the concept of mathematical modeling, and mathematics modeling in senior high school. In the second chapter, the theory of mathematical modeling in teaching practice has been explored in three aspects---- constructivism, solution, and its relation with new standard mathematics. In the third chapter, the methods of teaching have been stated in details. It's important to take student into consideration, and include teaching aims, the analysis of teaching materials, the arrangement of courses, principles of teaching and the evaluation. In the forth chapter, under the guidance of the design, this article elaborates on mathematical modeling with some examples in everyday teaching practice. In the fifth part, by analyzing the results of mathematical modeling teaching in two classes in grade two, senior high, the author has illustrated the feasibility of the teaching design.
