Research On Contemporary Chinese College Students' Independent Magazine

Chinese college students’ independent magazines are included of independent magazines. They have emerged for its open and easy social background and free campus environment in the day. They also have developed for progress of internet works. In1998, college students’ independent magazines appeared. After16years, the magazines are going into boom period. According to research, the college students’ independent magazines have presented regularity and value of distribution on times, area, content and value orientation, which reveal development course, area characteristics and context feature of magazines. After studying of Chinese college students’ independent magazines, what they present characteristics of youth culture are subversiveness, anti-consumerism and personalization. They also present positive and negative aspects of college students’ concepts. Chinese college students’ independent magazines have an influence on students as well as society. As a result, they cultivate students’,media literacy, which promote multielement of social and campus culture. Meanwhile, the magazines show problems of college students, including weakness of legal awareness and negative emotion. Educators should cultivate students’ legal awareness and weaken their negative emotion.Finally, we can actively guide college students’ independent magazine development to deliver positive energy.
