Because of Yunnan border areas’ unique natural geographical environment, most of the mountainous area, natural conditions, traffic inconvenience, information communication is not developed, forming a "big mixed small concentrated" living pattern, constituting a variety of nationalities’ coexistence of cultural background, also making the border area’s education bathed in the impact of national culture.With the speeding up of globalization and urbanization, especially the strategy of "Belt and Road ", making Yunnan border areas gradually open to the public and the border trade and the movement of personnel become frequently. Great changes have taken place in this area, but it also causes the existing national culture, values, lifestyles, behavior of the border ethnic groups become impacted. It brought a series of safety problems against border education. Border educational security has an important effect on maintaining local social stability and harmony. In order to objectively grasp the present situation of the border educational security, this study attempts to from the perspective of multicultural theory of cultural diversity, cultural adaptation and integration, the educational anthropology and other disciplines and method. In order to reveal the problems of the current border educational security in Yunnan and search out a feasible road, we use the literature research, questionnaire survey, field interviews, participatory observation and other methods. The study can broaden the vision of educational security research, enriching the content of border security education research.This research altogether is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction. It includes the research method,the research thought,definition and the purpose and significance of the study.The second part is theoretical foundation. Based on consulting a large number of foreign literature, the paper aims to clarify the basic course of education security research and discusses the new tendency of education security research from the later period of the cold war to the early 21 st century. Based on the analysis of the concept of educational security, combining with field survey in Yunnan border areas, the paper defines and expounds the concept and characteristics of border educational security, then put forward the analysis framework under the multicultural perspective of border security. Forming the border educational security evaluation index system, laying a foundation for further research.The third part is the investigation and study. According to the preliminary analysis framework of this study and the evaluation index system,through questionnaires, interviews and participatory observation of three spots so as to do the overall evaluation of security situation in Yunnan frontier and grasp the main problems.The fourth part is combined with the results of field investigation, questionnaire analysis and in-depth interviews, to further explain the main cause of educational security problems. Especially do a key analysis of the value orientation of education, the content of border education, educational method and the path and so on.The fifth part is combination with the practical situation of the border education and development needs to promote the thought and feasible path for border educational security, in order to maintain and consolidate the border educational security.of Yunnan, and to promote economic and social development of border areas, ethnic unity and social stability.
