Those studies were little, this research used many ways such as documents, investigation, mathematics statistics to analysis the fouls made by the Chinese team and the foreign teams in the 14th World Man Basketball Championship, the research results are as follows:(1)Chinese basketball players' foul time was too early foul play was too centered.(2)There is one foul peak in Chinese team and it appears in the front of the game, but there were many foul peaks in foreign teams and the foul time were proportionable. (3)The foul times of Chinese team in resticted were less than foreign teams', but the times in three-point goal area were more than foreign teams'. (4)Use handillogica ,block and intended foul times were less than foreign teams', but the technological foul times were more than them. ㎜imited by the defense idea ,Chinese team's foul times of defense receiving the ball and goal throw less than foreign teams'. ㏕he foul times of the center of Chinese team were more than the times of foreign center, the time is too early.In a word, through the comparative analysis of foul system compared with the abroad man's basketball teams and Chinese man's team, we found that there were some difference in the use of basic technology and tatics especially in the use of foul's. The reasons are various, not only in training and the level of Chinese coaches and players but also in the defense ideas and the market of basketball. SO, improve the Chinese man's basketball team's level has long way to go, we must act the system of basketball, combinate the height of the body with the speediness, agility and precise, so that form our own character. We hope that Chinese basketball can be prosperous in 2004's Olympic games.
