This article analysed the necessity and feasibility ofcultivating the compositive ability in the basic education from the developmental tendency and highspot of science, society, and the students. It also discussed the connotation of the compositive ability. Then, on the basis of biology teaching practice, held out some measures of how to develop the compositive ability in the biology teaching process.
