Confucian culture has long history and profound contents. As the main body of Chinese traditional culture, it has been affecting our politics, economy, culture and even each field of consciousness. At present, the harmonious society of socialism is the full reflection for using rich philosophical meaning. Construction of harmonious society is a systematic project, which needs the contributions from every sub-system of society. The physical culture in harmonious campus is an important part of harmonious campus and harmonious society, and it is also a kind of culture with energy and creativity which covers the most persons in campus. Therefore, on the basis of Confucian culture, the construction of the physical culture in harmonious campus has the rich cultural details and social background. It can be the way of realizing the physical and spiritual health in campus, the requirements of carrying out the quality education and constructing the campus spiritual civilization. Meanwhile, our country can cultivate harmony person and establish harmonious campus.According to the lots of literature information, the writer found the few study in relationship between Confucian culture and physical education, which lacked in system and coverage, let alone the relative research in the Confucian culture and physical culture in campus. So on the basis of research already, this paper gives the concept of physical culture in harmonious campus and analyses the relationship between the Confucian culture and the construction of physical culture in harmonious campus deeply by the documentation law, the interview law, the comparative analysis and the inductive logic. Fatherly, it put forward the ideas of constructing the physical culture in harmonious campus in the basis of Confucian culture with the present macro-background of "harmonious society".The conclusions are as follows:(1) The Confucian culture provides the excellent culture resources for constructing the physical culture in harmonious campus. While constructing the physical culture in harmonious campus enriches the Confucian culture meaning by learning its good ideas. It shows their complementary relationship.(2) The physical culture in harmonious campus is the important part of harmonious campus culture whose certain space is harmonious campus, whose main participants are persons in campus. This kind of culture, following the people-oriented principle, has the realization of cultivating harmonious person as the overall goal. It also covers the aggregation of physical material wealth and spiritual wealth created by persons in campus in the course of practice in harmonious campus. Besides, the physical culture in harmonious campus refers to the state of coordinated development between the campus physical culture system and social systems, all components and all factors of the campus physical culture system.(3) Being based of the Confucian culture, the construction of physical culture in harmonious campus uses the people-oriented, people-cooperated and harmony as the guiding thought. Harmony is the macro-guiding thought, and the others are micro-guiding thought.(4) Being based of the Confucian culture, the goal system of constructing the physical culture in harmonious campus consists of health goal, lifestyle goal and social harmony goal. Those three levels are the construction goals from low grade to high grade and correlative.(5) Being based of the Confucian culture, the principles of constructing the physical culture in harmonious campus shows the "people-oriented" in construction idea, the "progressive" in construction program, the "moral for the government" in construction lead, the "cooperation but diversity" in construction rule.(6) Being based of the Confucian culture, the content of constructing the physical culture in harmonious campus consists of three-latitude meaning, five features, four functions and four-level structure, which reflects the modernization for the content of the physical culture in harmonious campus by the Confucian culture.(7) This paper provides certain theory support and method support for the culture construction in our present harmonious campus, which mainly mentions to the follow strategies: in harmonious campus, constructing the physical spiritual culture with the guidance of "harmony", establishing the physical system culture with the guidance of "decency", building the physical behavior culture with the guidance of "self-cultivation", forming the strategy of the physical material culture with the guidance of "ecology".
