Through studying and analyzing the existing returns of culture and the culture of sport and physical education, it illustrates the concept of gymnastics culture. Gymnastics culture, in a broad sense, is an organism made up by idea composition and notional composition. In a narrow sense, from teaching point of view, gymnastics culture only refers to notional composition. Defining the connotation and extension of gymnastics culture, it's necessary that teaching process should embody gymnastics culture. It has active effect on students'emotional factor. It is in favor of cultivating students'gymnastics quality and is a good approach for moral educating. By doing questionnaire for teachers and interviewing, it investigates present state of embodiment of gymnastics culture during teaching and find what factors restrict embodiment. Teachers have weak sense in embodying gymnastics culture and are short of this kind of knowledge and strategic knowledge of embodying gymnastics culture. They can not master modern teaching methods expertly. The form of gymnastics culture is single in the textbook. Teaching and learning evaluation objectives are mainly quantified and emphasize result. It puts forward the design philosophy of class teaching embodying gymnastics culture, including instructional design principles (emphasize substance, pay attention to moderate formalization, respect students'personality, teach students in accordance of their aptitude, stress process and experience, give little attention to evaluation objectives, attach importance to emotional communication and positive influence, advocate team cooperation) and instructional strategy (merge gymnastics background into daily teaching content, permeate gymnastics thinking way, display the emerging and developing process of gymnastics content, reveal gymnastics applying in daily life and other scientific subjects, appreciate the beauty of gymnastics, make students produce positive emotional experience). According to the limiting factor, it puts forward measures of promoting the embodiment of gymnastics culture during teaching.The results of our research are the following:The Gymnastics Culture Awareness of P.E teachers should be enhanced urgently;The education and practical teaching of Gymnastics Cultural Awareness should be explored further;The Gymnastics Cultural Awareness should be popularized greatly among P.E teachers in senior schools.
