| The development of football as team sports much depends on the training model of younger sportsmen. And the arrangements of the retired players of the second team in a professional football club influence the future development of football in China in this way that if there will be enough qualified younger sportsmen in support of the sports in the second team. This paper discusses the arrangement of the retired second-team-players in quite details. After a long research of Yunnan Hongta Football Club, the author has found that these retired players do not have the same opportunities in finding new jobs as the retired first-team-players, but they have much wider choices today. Since the training model focuses too much on sports, the players receive less literacy education. This is a serious problem. If we cannot solve it properly, the development of the national football as team sports will be slowed down. |
