Shaanxi Province, Population Spatial Structure And Population Clustering Pattern Analysis

Regional economic development is always accompanied by changes in population spatial structure for population is the most active factors in regional development. On the one hand, the population spatial structure reflects the distribution of various elements in region; On the other hand, the population migration affects the spatial structure of intraregional economic, social and other elements and changes in industrial distribution. Therefore, the spatial redistribution of population directly impact on the process of regional socioeconomic aspects of life. Researching on population spatial structure and population aggregation are of great significance to rapid revitalization of the regional economic and explore human resources rationally.There are unique geographic conditions and complex terrain conditions in Shaanxi Province, which is the true sense of China across the northern and southern provinces for the Yellow river and Yangtze river are both in. There are Guanzhong plain known as "800 li Qinchuan" and the Loess Plateau and mountain Qinba which has important ecological functions in Shaanxi Province. Choosing Shaanxi Province as the object to study its population spatial structure and population aggregation status plays an important role on population space study in the western region. It is also important to promote the rational redistribution of population and the achievement of population, resources, environment, and sustainable development coordination.This article start with the concept of population spatial structure and population aggregation, take Shaanxi Province as an empirical study ,on the basis of the conclusion of the domestic research. This article makes a comprehensive evaluation on the population number, population quality, population structure and urbanization of Shaanxi Province, on the basis of the data; at the same time, gives an population aggregation status evaluation on the overall situation by using concentration index and contingent by calculating population aggregation degree. In the end, this article forecast the direction of future population in the basis of the spatial equilibrium model and puts forward the corresponding suggestions based on present situation and existing problems above. The main conclusions of this article are as follows:There is unbalanced distribution of population in Shaanxi Province divided into Guanzhong area, southern Shaanxi, northern Shaanxi. The population is highly concentrated in the Weihe River. The population cultural qualities vary obviously in space and high education level connect with local level City area and a higher level of economic development of the county. The illiteracy rate is high concentrated in the northern Shaanxi region. Population structure is a long-term process of development, but the intensity of population movements by the migration of the larger counties, affected by the demographic characteristics of a great impact. Most areas in Shaanxi Province are among the low level of urbanization area, shown clear signs of "binary" structure. It has formed obvious contrast between the higher level of urbanization with a relatively developed economy and the low level with general county.The trend of population aggregation has continued in Shaanxi Province. There is imbalanced in Guanzhong area, southern Shaanxi,northern Shaanxi, for customs of the population concentrated in the Guanzhong region was significantly higher than that of other regions, while low concentration of the population in northern Shaanxi and southern Shaanxi. It is in line with the Shaanxi Provincial distribution of population density.In the future, population in Shaanxi Province will mainly focus on the regions which have a high degree development and resources and environment carrying capacity, at the same time will be divided into three levels. The first level will be Xi'an and the surrounding suburban area, and the second level is the chemical industry base in northern Shaanxi, Hanzhong basin, Yuehe basin and ShangDan basin in southern Shaanxi. Other towns and various parks will be in the third level.
