Despite started lately, the higher vocational education in China gets a fast development, which has great relationship with the demand for talent people after the development of market economy during the Reform and Opening up. Especially in recent years, with the importance of higher vocational education in the party and the state, the country's higher vocational education have achieved an unprecedented level, whether in quantity or size of the school, and gradually occupied" half parts" in Chinese higher education. This is an extremely rare development opportunity whether it is to the teacher or the students.Higher vocational education was starting from the vocational university during the eighties of last century in the southeast coast and economic opening up region, in Chinese higher education system its history is short above all compared to the ordinary university. As any new things in their development processes have gone through twists and turns of the road, the rapid advanced higher vocational education is now also gradually experiencing bottlenecks on the road to development, including: the ideological and moral level of the students not high, do not have a strong sense of teamwork, changing after having the job and so on.Despite the problems are inevitable, but as for these problems, the reason is closely related to the missing of aesthetic education. Due to subjective and objective factors, most of the higher vocational colleges simply emphasize intellectual education, while neglecting the students aesthetic ability. This article is in such a context, focusing on how to carry out aesthetic education in the current vocational education.This paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter focuses on the basic concepts of "aesthetic education" and its development in China. These two issues are designed to address "what". It will help us clarify the basic principles from the source, which will lay a solid foundation for the next phase of work.The second chapter focuses on the necessity of carrying out aesthetic education in the current higher education. The aim is to solve the "why". This chapter is divided into three smaller parts, which are: the concept of higher vocational education and its development, the characteristics of Chinese higher vocational education, the role of aesthetic education of higher vocational education in China and its status, shows the need to strengthen aesthetic education systematically.The third chapter focuses on how to carry out aesthetic education. Its aim is to solve the "how to do". By drawing on the successful experience of aesthetic education in western developed countries, the chapter researches an effective method of aesthetic education in this stage of our country.Through the discussion above, this article ultimately concludes: Aesthetic education is an important part of education, which is to cultivate the students to feel aesthetic, appreciate aesthetic and create aesthetic, which is to enable learners to be able to active aesthetic and experience aesthetic, which is to promote the educated people aesthetic development as its basic task, which is to shape the person and make it more perfect. The current higher education must pay attention to aesthetic education, through out the aesthetic education, students could improve their ability of watching enjoying and creating beauty to help students set a good mentality to overcome the setbacks and difficulties in the growth of the road, So that they could be qualified socialist builders and successors. In the period of promoting the aesthetic concept and building a socialist harmonious society, we believe that the strengthening of aesthetic education for higher vocational education will provide a reliable guarantee of higher vocational education for its development and the higher vocational education will also gets spring with the balanced development of intellectual and aesthetic education.
