Disciplinary culture, soul of discipline, is the fundamental guarantee to keep the core competence of university. Its cultivation and renovation drive universities to break through conventionalism and move forward. So they have attracted lots of attention recent years.According to the internal characteristics of cultural and discipline, four core elements of disciplinary culture were put forward: discipline knowledge and belief system, the founders and inheritors of discipline knowledge and belief system, discipline language and thinking mode, habits of teaching and learning in discipline. The development mechanism, cultivation approaches of the core elements was studied and their contributions to the construction of discipline culture were analyzed.The shaping of disciplinary culture usually originates from knowledge and belief system. The formation of disciplinary knowledge system is the result of discipline knowledge affected by teaching and researching activities. Guided by the specific model, perception and intellectuality knowledge carry out mutual transformation and enrich cultural knowledge. The establishment of belief system stemmed from the cultivating of basic faiths, values, idol belief and sentiments.The founders and inheritors of knowledge and belief system , whose cultivation is different, is the main body of disciplinary culture .The university should create the environment in which the future discipline founder works freely and happily, The experts and scholars would help the academic backbone willing. They also should find proper method to train the disciplinary rank and filer's high basic quality. At the same time, specific cultivated methods were proposed for the future experts and scholars. Disciplinary language is the marker of discipline culture. Its prevalence is affected by the qualities of founders and inheritors, and social environment. In order to enrich discipline language, it is needed to improve the qualities of discipline subjects, to enhance the communication between different disciplines even from different cultures.The habits of discipline teaching, learning and researches reflects the modes of disciplinary culture. They are important to the being of discipline and come from the academic activity. The existent habits of discipline teaching, learning and researches sometime block the innovation of discipline knowledge and belief. Because the habits of discipline teaching, learning and researches are the extension of discipline thinking, the innovation should reckon on it.
