Input and Output are two essential factors for successful SLA. Based on the existing theories, the author formulates a second input-output model for unit review in senior schools. Our model aims at helping students gain better understanding of what they've learnt in the last few periods in this unit. Furthermore, the capability of students to learn and use languages will be improved - learners'proficiency of the target language can be improved. This thesis consists of six chapters. Chapter One serves as an introduction, initiating the investigation and presenting research hypothosis of this paper. Chapter Two reviews the theoretical background, especially the Krashen's Input Hypothesis and Swain's Output hypothesis. It focuses on the Input hypothesis and Output hypothesis and their influence on the process of SLA. Chapter Three attempts to find the solution to the problems in SLA with the help of the input Hypothesis and output theory. Chapter Four provides the assumptions and the procedure that they are tested through experimental research method using a controlled group and full experiment design. Chapter Five draws the conclusion of the experiment and points out the limitations.
