With China's increasingly participating in the international communicaion,Chinese economy has demonstrated the internationalization trend. English,as the most widely-used official language in the international affair, has been regarded as one of the indispensable abilities for people to acquire in order to establish their proper place in society. Second language education,thus, becomes one of the educational focuses. The international trend of younger age in second language learning has also influenced children of our English teaching. In order to find the learning method which is more suitable to Chinese children, all kinds of teaching patterns arise,among which, English Immersion project----Education Cooperation Project held by China and Canada starting from 1997-----gradually apeals to more people who enaged in language teaching.In the teaching activities of English immersion program, the author notices that for English immersion teachers, solid foundation in language ability is not the only key factor to develop effective teaching. Teachers'consciousness of situational input and input strategies can also promote teaching effect in a positive way. Therefore, the study focuses on relative analysis,trying to find the relationship between teachers' language input type and children's language output, teachers' strategies of situational input and children's language output and so on.The research findings are as follows:1. For English immersion teachers, Solid foundation in language ability should be highly stressed,but it is not the only key factor. Consciousness of situational input should also be taken seriously on an equal basis.2. With no help of Chinese language and English grammar, the systematic consciousness can be of great use both for English immersion teachers and children.3. Teaching strategies in situational input play an impotant role in English immersion teaching. In situational input, the more flexible the teaching strategies are,the more effective the learning becomes.4. When emphasizing on the language situational input, English immersion teachers should also give attention to children's psychology.5. The application of body Language in English immersion teaching contributes a lot.Suggestions based on the study findings above:1. Systematic construction in language items or topic teaching in Children's Reading Book should be improved.2. English immersion teachers'consciousness of situational input should be strengthened.3. Self-examination is essential for English immersion teachers' development.4. Evaluation of the English immersion teaching should be diverse;teaching with distinct style should be encouraged.
