Born from the human civilization, cross-cultural conflict resists the progress of human civilization. There will be cross-cultural conflict if two cultures meet. It is inevitable that cross-cultural conflicts occur between Chinese college students and foreign teachers who come from different cultures. These conflicts are obstacles between Chinese college students and foreign teachers when they work together. On the basis of outcome before, this thesis comes up with some advices to solve the problems of cross-cultural conflicts. Using the "Cultural Dimensions Theory" and "Value Orientation" theory, which have a deep influence on the studies of cross-cultural communication, this thesis analyses the cross-cultural conflicts between Chinese college students and foreign teachers to find out the causes of cross-cultural conflicts between Chinese college students and foreign teachers. According to Young Yun Kim's "Constitution of Cross-cultural Communication Competence", this thesis applies "Cultural Dimensions Theory" and "Value Orientation" theory to train cross-cultural communication competence of students in cognitive, emotional and behavioral aspects. This is one valid solution of cross-cultural conflicts between Chinese college students and foreign teachers. Work on foreign teachers'side is also important for solving the conflicts efficiently.
