Electric vehicle (EV) refers to a kind of vehicle, which is driven by the electromotor, taking the rechargeable battery as power source, and can satisfy every request by rules of road traffic safety. Electric vehicle has important significations in environmental protection, power economy, safety and reliability. Along with the development and advancement of technology, every performance indexes of EV will approach to petrol-engine cars, and it will be the most advanced vehicle in the future.This thesis discusses the total design principles of EV based on the analysis of the development actuality and the development trend of EV. The design and study of intelligent control system of EV can be divided into several parts, such as the electric drive system, digital control system, road status recognition technology, path programming and tracking technology, intelligent driving system, simulation study of control system, and etc. And so on, considering the abominable environment of EV, the strong disturbance of electromagnetism, the anti-disturbance of EV control system is designed too, it can ensure the stead and reliable work of the control system.Since so many aspects are involved in designing the intelligent control system of EV, this thesis takes three parts as the design keystone, such as the digital control system based on CAN-bus, the speed-adjusted system of switched reluctance motor (SRM), the intelligent driving system, and etc. 80C196KC micro-controller is adopted as CPU. The design includes the total project, hardware circuits and software, and the detail illuminations are given too. At the same time, the structure charts of system are plotted, the two-inputs fuzzy control algorithm is selected by the comparison of simulation results, which can ensure perfect control precision and control performance, simplify the calculation, gain good ability of real time.The simulation of two parts is done by MATLAB, such as the speed-adjusted system of SRM, the automatic driving system and etc. The simulation figures are plotted, and the results are given too. The results ofevery part indicate the feasibility of the control project and the rationality of the design project.
