Mu Qing Rural Coverage Analysis

MuQing was a famous reporter. In his long career as a journalist, he vividly presented a survey of rural development in China through his works.This paper is based on the study of MuQing's reports on rural affairs. It analyzes first these works' contents which consist of l)a record on countryside development process; 2)problems occurring in the course of it; 3)experience drawn from it and 4)vivid pictures of peasants as a group in the related social background. Then it discusses MuQing's interviewing and writing skills and characteristics shown in these reports. In the end, a tentative conclusion is drawn of the leading effects MuQing's reports on rural affairs have on present journalistic practice, based on the above-mentioned study and the study on the problems in nowadays reports of the same kind.
