The Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) technique which can be integrated in the dielectric substrate with low insert-loss and low radiation-loss is a novel guided-wave structure developed in recent years.Taking X-band oscillator based on SIW technique as the main research object,this thesis firstly introduces SIW's structure,features and analysis method,and then the transition structure between SIW and microstrip line.Basic theory of oscillator is also analyzed.Then it elaborates the design basis and equivalent model of SIW resonant cavity.Through design,simulation and testing of the X-band SIW resonant cavity and transition structure between SIW and microstrip line,electromagnetic field distribution in the cavity and parameter S are obtained,and accordingly,Q-factor of the cavity is figured out.Finally,by making use of the features of SIW cavity such as high Q-value and being easy to be integrated with plane circuit etc,research to X-band oscillator based on SIW structure.Firstly analyses the structure of band stop coupling and band pass coupling.Then two kinds of circuit structures has been used to design,simulate and testing,the results show that the one output frequency is 9.94GHz,and phase noise is -75dBc/Hz@10KHz,the other output frequency is 10.2GHz, and phase noise is -69dBc/Hz@10KHz.
