The design and the implementation of this scheme not only are able to meet the network security situation urgent need but also are able to satisfy the enterprise user. It has many characteristic such as "simply" in the network security product aspect, "easy to use", "the low cost", "the high performance", "the network security integration solution" The thesis has mainly completed the following several aspect work:(1)The thesis has analyzed three important security protection technologies which are related to the UTM security gateway system module correlation: firewall, virtual private network and intrusion detection. Meanwhile through the comparison and the induction, it has determined the main technology in various modules.(2)Take the Linux operating system platform as the foundation, it has constructed the UTM security gateway system overall frame, designed and realizes the UTM security gateway management system which include three important core modules: the firewall, the virtual private network and the intrusion detection these management system in detail.(3)It has made the test and the appraisal to the UTM security gateway performance in the actual network environment. The result indicated that safeguards the enterprise network with the UTM security gateway system the information security is successful, not only reduced the network order of complexity, enhanced the network reliability and the security, also saved the enterprise expenses, reduced manager's work.The thesis finally has carried on the summary and the forecast to the UTM technology; it has given the further research direction and improvement program of the product research. The work of the thesis has certain practical significance regarding the UTM security gateway product promotion and the UTM technologyresearch.
