The Nilsson mea.n-field plus nearest-orbit pairing model is an effective model for the description of deformed nuclei. However, the angular momentum is not a conserved quantity in the model due to the intrinsic deformation. Consequently, angular momentum projection is necessary for projecting the model space into a physical subspace with definite angular momentum. In this thesis, the angular momentum projection method is used to compute the energy spectra of several Ne isotopes. It is shown that the results are well reproduced according to the corresponding experimental data. It is demonstrated that the code designed for the angular momentum projection is quite feasible. Our results should be useful for the application of the model to other deformed nuclei.
