The differential InSAR technique (DInSAR), is an advanced technology on ground deformation monitoring, can acquire information of large-scale ground deformation. On the base of this, the Persistant scatterers InSAR technique (PSInSAR) has a great development in the 21th century, and has been used in city ground deformation monitoring, dam deformation monitoring and coast monitoring. However, this technique has much deficiency in PS selection and phase unwrapping. In this thesis, the two problems above will be studied by theoretical algorithm and experiments, and some valuable results are achieved by simulated and real data experiments. The research content is as follows:1) Study on PS selection technique, We find out a new PS selection method based on spatial coherence and temporal coherence, which will make good use of SAR data information and select enough PS in small dataset PSInSAR data processing.2) Study on PSInSAR phase unwrapping. A new PSInSAR phase unwrapping will be expressed, which decreases the dependence on prior information in phase unwrapping and avoids the trouble of discussing pseudo values when the prior information is not enough. The new method must be much simple and efficient. The simulated experiments and real data experiments will be done to prove superiority of the new method.3) Monitoring the ground deformation of Shanghai between 1992 and 2002 by the developed PSInSAR technique, and a deformation field will be achieved.
