After hundreds of million years'evolution of the nature, animals has formed very good functions, so scientists and engineers have been fascinated by animal-robots, which fuse animals and artificial electronic equipment can be controlled by the human beings. The research of animal behavior control is of importance for several domains, such as post-disaster search and rescue, military reconnaissance and so on. The research can also promote development of brain science, Nerve repair technology, computer technology and MEMS technology.The system for rat behavior control is the key factor in the research of rat behavior control. In this paper, the circuit of system has many limits in volume, mass, power, reliability and other aspects because part of the circuit need to be integrated with rat. The main research of the paper as follows:(1) It analyzes the basic principle and related technologies of rats behavior control. First, it analyzes two strategies of rat behavior control and selected control strategies. Then it analyzes the key technologies of rats behavior control, which are implanted electrode technology and wireless communication technology. Finally, it selects the appropriate communication technology and electrodes.(2) A control system for rat behavior has been designed and implemented, which bases on the chip of MSP430F1611 and NRF24L01. The system consists of wireless transmitter and the behavioral controller. First, the behavioral control command is set by PC control program. Then the command is transmitted via USB to the launch base stations constituted of C8051F320 for sending. Finally, behavior controller that consists of MSP430F1611 receives instructions and produces stimulating signal to control over the behavior of the rats. Experiments show that the system works stably and communicates reliably.(3) First a large number of behavior control experiments have been made by behavioral control system which designed by the paper. Then according to the results of behavior control experiments, the voltage sensitivity of nucleus which is stimulated by electrode has been briefly analyzed.
